As the second exchange project with the Institute for Music and Indigenous Arts Development (IMAD), the Soest Music School and musicWays Germany e.V., “Roots of Music – Musical Diversity” is now set to begin. In June and July 2026, twelve South African guests visited us again in Soest to make music together with German school pupils and numerous local residents, to exchange ideas and, above all, to forge friendships.
Well, with plenty of new memories to take home, everyone is now preparing for the German delegation’s return visit in March and April 2027. The Soest Music School and musicWays Germany e.V. are already well into the planning stage – but that shouldn’t stop us from taking a moment to savour the memories left by our previous projects with South Africa.
We are therefore delighted to be able to bring this year’s exchange to life on a website set up specifically for this purpose – for anyone who is interested.
