Project
Roots of Music – Musical Diversity is the second exchange between Musikschule Soest and IMAD in Cape Town, continuing a partnership that has grown for more than a decade. Arbeit und Leben NRW is the implementing organisation for the exchange. It builds on Sounds of Sustainability (2020), the remote production Double Rainbow, and the German return visit in 2022. After the South African delegation visited Soest in June/July 2026, preparations are underway for the return visit to Cape Town in March/April 2027. There, a joint project big band will rehearse, lead workshops, and tour the Western Cape, culminating in a concert at Artscape Theatre Centre.
